Packers fan chose violence while announcing pick in Detroit
It's every NFL fan's dream to announce a selection for their team in the NFL Draft. Daniel Hanbridge had that honor for the Green Bay Packers in the fourth round, getting to announce the selection of Evan Williams.
Hanbridge, an international fan, decided to have a little fun with the mostly Detroit Lions crowd, starting with, "Detroit, I have three words for you: GO PACK GO" and then getting booed heavily. That wasn't enough for Hanbridge though, who continued to flex on the Lions fans in the crowd.
Before getting into the pick itself, Hanbridge made sure to boast that the Packers had won four Super Bowl titles. This followed with a loud chorus of boos. Hanbridge finished announcing the pick by noting that Williams would become a Hall of Famer with the organization and then left the heavy Lions crowd with another "GO PACK GO" before leaving the stage.
Detroit did not appreciate this Packers fan's love for his team
Props to Hanbridge for making the most out of this moment. He knew that bragging about how good the Packers have been as a franchise would rub Detroit and Lions fans the wrong way but that didn't stop him from going out there and flexing on those fans.
It's always funny to see rival fans attempt to dunk on the host city every year but in this case, the only untrue thing that Hanbridge said was that Williams would be a Hall of Famer someday and maybe that does come true in the distant future. We'll have to wait and find out if that happens.
