Green Bay Packers fans are going to love new tight end Tucker Kraft.

The Packers selected the South Dakota State tight end with the No. 78 overall pick in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft. He fixes an immediate need at tight end, and he enters the NFL with a ton of upside.

Kraft is a phenomenal athlete, and joins Oregon State's Luke Musgrave as the latest additions to the Packers' tight end room.

Musgrave and Kraft can form an outstanding tight end duo in Green Bay over the next few years. They will replace Robert Tonyan and Marcedes Lewis, who played the majority of tight end snaps for the Packers over the past few seasons.

While it will be exciting to see what Kraft can do on the field, his comments after getting picked should fire up Packers fans.

Packers fans will be fired up at Tucker Kraft's first comments since being drafted

Speaking to reporters shortly after being drafted, Kraft made a good impression.

"Being able to score my first touchdown at Lambeau Field, taking the Lambeau Leap. That's something every single Bears fan in the nation will hate," Kraft said.

Talk about getting Packers fans on your side immediately.

Kraft spoke about his appreciation for being drafted by the Packers and his excitement to work with fellow rookie tight end Luke Musgrave, who was picked by Green Bay the round before him. Kraft also came out with some unbelievable quotes.

"I'm looking up at the South Dakota sky right now, seeing the stars aligned," Kraft said.

Along with the pre-draft process and his fit with the Packers, Kraft was asked about what he loves about the tight end position. His answer, again, was amazing.

"I like the duality of the game. I like being able to put your hand in the dirt, and ferociously punishing the man across from you," said Kraft.

Wow. Packers fans are going to love Kraft from Day 1. His comments have probably already sold a number of #85 jerseys.

In only a short press conference, Kraft showed off his personality. While we should be excited about what he can add to the Packers' offense, he's going to be an entertaining addition to the team.

And we're so glad he's a Packer.

"I'm so excited to be a Packer. Go Pack Go! I'm repping the green and yellow already," said Kraft to close out the press conference.

Wes Hodkiewicz is spot on. Kraft is going to fit in just fine.
