Running back (3)

Aaron Jones, AJ Dillon, Patrick Taylor

Green Bay could follow last year's plan of only keeping two running backs on the initial 53-man roster. That would free up a roster spot at another position. However, for now, we have them sticking with three running backs.

Patrick Taylor seems to be the preferred choice as the RB3, despite Emanuel Wilson's solid preseason. Taylor's special teams ability wins him the job.

Wide receiver (6)

Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, Jayden Reed, Malik Heath, Samori Toure, Dontayvion Wicks

Malik Heath's impressive summer earns him a roster spot, and it won't be surprising if he gets snaps ahead of second-year Samori Toure. Heath started ahead of Toure in the final preseason game. Something to watch.

Seventh-round draft pick Grant DuBose has battled injuries and misses out, but he is a candidate for the practice squad. One option is to keep two running backs, which makes room for DuBose. We'll see.

Tight end (3)

Luke Musgrave, Josiah Deguara, Tucker Kraft

The Packers may need to add a veteran tight end on waivers following Tyler Davis' season-ending injury, but they don't necessarily need to keep more than these three on the 53-man roster for now. They can add another tight end after teams trim their rosters. A talented player could become available.
