Edge rusher (6)

Rashan Gary, Preston Smith, Lukas Van Ness, Justin Hollins, Kingsley Enagbare, Brenton Cox Jr.

It's unclear how many snaps Rashan Gary will play in the regular season opener in two weeks. Is he ready for a full-time role after recently returning from injury? In any case, the Packers have much better depth at the position than they did a year ago.

First-round pick Lukas Van Ness can contribute immediately and could even start if Gary isn't ready for Week 1. Justin Hollins was a good in-season addition last year, while Kingsley Enagbare should make a jump in his second season. Brenton Cox Jr. is another undrafted rookie who could make the roster after an impressive training camp.

Inside linebacker (5)

De'Vondre Campbell, Quay Walker, Isaiah McDuffie, Eric Wilson, Tariq Carpenter

The Packers will hope De'Vondre Campbell can return from injury in time for the season opener at Soldier Field. Green Bay does have good depth at inside linebacker.

They need more consistency from 2022 first-round pick Quay Walker, who will start next to Campbell. Isaiah McDuffie has impressed this summer.

Eric Wilson and Tariq Carpenter both provide value on special teams, which is where they will play the majority of their snaps. The Packers have placed an emphasis on special teams the past two seasons, which is why both players could make the roster.
