Round 4 (126): Cedric Gray, LB, North Carolina

The Packers will likely leave the 2024 NFL Draft with multiple additions at linebacker. Isaiah McDuffie will presumably see an increased role following De'Vondre Campbell's departure, and he has previous experience in Hafley's defense from their time together at Boston College.

However, Green Bay is an injury away from starting Kristian Welch or Eric Wilson on defense, who are primarily special teams players. Gutekunst may need to prioritize the position on Day 2, but it's not the deepest linebacker class, and in this simulation, the Packers had to wait until the fourth round.

North Carolina's Cedric Gray could compete for a starting job in Hafley's defense.

"Cedric Gray is an explosive and rangy linebacker who can cover ground in an instant in the run and pass game," writes Damian Parson of The Draft Network.

He ran an impressive 4.64-second 40-yard dash with a 1.58-second 10-yard split, helping him earn a good Relative Athletic Score of 7.20. Last season, he made 121 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, five sacks, four pass defenses, and one interception.

Along with needing another starter in the 4-3 base defense, the Packers must add competition at linebacker. Gray has starting potential.
