Round 1 (7): Tyree Wilson, EDGE, Texas Tech

And here we go. The Packers trade up from their original pick at No. 15, moving to No. 7 in a deal with the Las Vegas Raiders. It would cost the Packers a second-round pick. But considering they owned two second-rounders, why not go for it?

At No. 7, Green Bay lands one of the best players in the class at any position.

Texas Tech pass rusher Tyree Wilson has star potential in the NFL. Not often in recent years have the Packers been able to land one of the top defensive prospects in the class. Here, they do.

"Wilson is still improving, but he has all of the tools to develop into a Pro Bowl edge rusher," wrote Daniel Jeremiah of NFL Network, who has Wilson fourth in his top 50 prospect rankings for 2023.

Wilson would help Green Bay's run defense while also offering a lot as a pass rusher.

It wouldn't be long before Wilson would be starting alongside Rashan Gary. Together, they could become one of the league's premier pass-rush duos.

With Wilson, Gary, Preston Smith, Kingsley Enagbare, and Justin Hollins, the Packers would be set at edge rusher with a deep and talented group.

Brian Gutekunst has traded up in the first round before. Tyree Wilson is worth moving up to get if he's there at No. 7.
