The past four games haven't been particularly enjoyable for Green Bay Packers fans. Outside of their miracle fourth-quarter performance to beat the New Orleans Saints, this team has become tough to watch.

A win over the Minnesota Vikings would go a long way to changing that. The Packers dominated this matchup at Lambeau Field last season, but a lot has changed since then.

Green Bay's injury list remains an issue. The bye week did little to change that. However, the good news is that Christian Watson avoided a significant injury and will play against the Vikings. He practiced in full all week and was removed from the injury report, which was surprising, as he looked in a lot of pain after the injury against the Denver Broncos last week.

Here are the inactives for the Packers and Vikings ahead of this afternoon's matchup.

Packers vs. Vikings inactives for Week 8

  • WR Malik Heath
  • CB Robert Rochell
  • S Zayne Anderson
  • LB Brenton Cox Jr.
  • T Caleb Jones

Vikings inactives

  • LG Ezra Cleveland

A three-game stretch against the Los Angeles Chargers, Detroit Lions, and Kansas City Chiefs isn't far away. The Packers need to end their losing streak before then.

Today's game is only the Packers' third at Lambeau all season. That's the good news. However, the concern is that Green Bay didn't play particularly well in its opening two home games. The Saints shut the Packers out in the opening three quarters before a dramatic 18-point swing in the fourth led Green Bay to victory.

The loss to the Lions in Week 4 was one of the worst of Matt LaFleur's tenure. Today's game with the Vikings is their first at home since then.

Green Bay has a lot to prove, and this team needs a win to save its season.
