The Green Bay Packers nearly escaped Week 1 unscathed but unfortunately, disaster struck in the final seconds against the Eagles. Jordan Love went down and Packers fans held their breath and hoped for the best.

It was revealed that Love suffered an MCL sprain and could miss several weeks. People were a bit surprised and confused when Matt LaFleur said that Love might play in Week 2 but as it turned out, Love sat out and the Packers won their first game of the season with Malik Willis at the helm.

While it might have seemed like LaFleur was bluffing about Love's availability for Week 2, that might not have been the case.

While appearing on ESPN Milwaukee, Rob Demovsky of ESPN reported that he's not convinced Willis will start for the Packers in Week 3. He elaborated by stating, "From what I was told, Jordan Love was very close to playing" and says that LaFleur's injury update was "not a charade."

Could Packers have Jordan Love back in Week 3 vs. Titans?

Considering Packers fans thought that Love's season might be over after the injury suffered in Brazil, returning for Week 3 against the Titans would be shocking.

He went from potentially being out for the year to missing maybe a few weeks and now might only have missed one full game. Talk about a crazy change of events.

The Packers won without Love in Week 2 and Willis did fine, completing 12-of-14 passes for 122 yards and a touchdown while rushing for 41 yards. The Packers didn't need Willis to be great in the win since their rushing attack demolished the Colts to the tune of 261 yards on the ground.

Having Love back will make the Packers a better team and fortunately, while the Packers won their first game of the season to avoid an 0-2 start, the Lions lost, dropping them to 1-1 and only the Vikings are 2-0 so the NFC North title is still within reach.

If Jordan Love is cleared to play and feels comfortable taking the field again then Packers fans sure won't stop him. Let's hope the run game can continue to pound teams and alleviate some of the pressures off of him.
