You know it's bad when your defense is giving up touchdowns to Jimmy Graham in the year 2023. It's even worse when he taunts Green Bay Packers fans with a fake Lambeau Leap.

It's even worse when Packers fans embrace it.

No, this isn't a nightmare, this is what happened in the first quarter of the Packers' Week 3 matchup against the New Orleans Saints.

Jimmy Graham mocked Packers fans with fake Lambeau Leap

How did Packers fans let Jimmy Graham get away with this? Sure, he's a former Packer, but opposing players should never be welcomed when they pull off the Lambeau Leap against them.

Here's the video of Graham's fake Lambeau Leap:

It's not a great start for the Packers' defense. They allowed Graham to pretend it was 2013 in the red zone. It put the Saints up 7-0 and in control of the game early on.

Green Bay is up against it in Week 3. The team is without star left tackle David Bakhtiari, running back Aaron Jones, wide receiver Christian Watson, cornerback Jaire Alexander, and left guard Elgton Jenkins. It's never going to be easy to win games without so many key starters.

Injuries can't be helped, but the Packers have to stop getting in their own way. They have committed four penalties inside the first quarter, including two on the offense's opening drive. That is simply unacceptable.

It's still early in the game, but the Packers need to improve. They need to clean up the penalties and find a way to slow down the Saints' offense. And, yes, that means stopping Jimmy Graham from turning the clock back to 2013.

And if he does find the end zone again, Packers fans shouldn't enjoy him mocking the Lambeau Leap.

A rough start to Week 3 for the Packers.
