The Packers are in a good position to offer Love a contract of this size due to how young the offense around him is. With only Aaron Jones, David Bahktiari, and Elgton Jenkins being on a second or third contract, it allows the team to spend more on the most valuable position on the team.
Getting an extension with Love sooner will be important because it will give the front office more leeway with the future contracts of players like Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, and AJ Dillon.
