The Brett Favre/Aaron Rodgers era has ended. Over the past 31 seasons (1992-2022), the Green Bay Packers have been led by two Hall of Fame (one already in and the other will be) QBs who did their best work via the passing game. Favre and Rodgers rank fourth and fifth respectively in most career TD passes (Favre: 508, Rodgers: 475).

How will the Packers offense differ as Jordan Love is handed the keys? Will it continue as a pass-heavy unit or will the running game take center stage?

Consider this: From 1992-2022 (The Favre-Rodgers era in Green Bay), there were 228 times when a Packers player gained over 100 receiving yards in a game. Compare that to about half (111) of that total when a Green Bay player gained 100+ rushing yards in a game.

With a first-year starter at QB in Jordan Love, is it possible that the Packers will focus a little more on the running game with Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon?

Here's another stat to consider: In those 111 times from 1992-2022 when a Packers players gained 100 or more rushing yards, the team was 89-21-1, a .806 winning percentage. In fact, of the last 18 times when a Packers went over 100 yards rushing in a game, the team is 17-1 (dating back to December 2017).

Here's a look at the 21 Green Bay players who gained 100+ rushing yards in a game from 1992-2022 and the Packers' record when they accomplished this feat.

  • Ahman Green: 33 times (27-6)
  • Aaron Jones: 17 times (15-2)
  • Ryan Grant: 12 times (10-2)
