Round 2 (41): Tyler Nubin, S, Minnesota

The Packers went a long way toward fixing their need at safety by signing Xavier McKinney, but they need to add at least one more. Last year's starters, Darnell Savage and Jonathan Owens, have already found new homes in free agency.

Minnesota's Tyler Nubin is the best safety in the class. With his range and coverage ability, Nubin can play as the single-high safety in Hafley's system. He made five interceptions last season. McKinney and Nubin offer versatility, allowing Hafley to move them around and disguise coverages. Together, they would transform Green Bay's secondary.

Round 2 (58): Edgerrin Cooper, LB, Texas A&M

Pro Football Network's Adam Caplan reported that the Packers were interested in signing free agent Josey Jewell before he joined the Carolina Panthers. This highlights that Brian Gutekunst wants to add a linebacker following De'Vondre Campbell's departure, and he may need to use a combination of free agency and the draft. Edgerrin Cooper should be near the top of the Packers' list.

NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah writes: "Cooper is a long, rangy linebacker with excellent speed and coverage ability."

Cooper is coming off an outstanding season at Texas A&M, making an impressive eight sacks and 17 tackles for loss. The Packers need to find two starters at linebacker, and Cooper would be one of them.
