Packers News: Aaron Rodgers trade update, QB search continues
So, what's going on with Aaron Rodgers? Why haven't the Green Bay Packers traded him to the New York Jets yet?
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport provided an update on the "Pat McAfee Show". According to Rapoport, "there's not a deal done" yet. However, he noted that both the Packers and Jets know it is likely to happen.
Rapoport then provided some information on the potential negotiations.
"You can basically agree on a value, and then figure out the different picks that go back and forth to get to that value," Rapoport said. "I think both sides know that at some point they will get there. There's just no reason for either to give in yet."
DraftTek's trade value chart is a great tool to see exactly what Rapoport means.
For example, if the Jets are unwilling to give the Packers the No. 13 overall pick, the Packers may want first-round value. According to the trade value chart, the Jets' second-round picks at No. 42 and No. 43 combine for 950 points, not far off the value of the No. 13 pick, which is 1,150 points.
So, maybe the Packers would see two seconds as fair value instead of a first.

A position Green Bay could strengthen on Day 3 of the draft is running back. According to Darren Wolfson of KSTP, the Packers are set to meet with Northwestern's Evan Hull this week.
