Packers to host Tramon Williams, Lane Taylor in Week 9 vs. Rams

The Packers will welcome two former players back to Lambeau Field in Week 9: cornerback Tramon Williams and guard Lane Taylor. The team announced that Williams and Taylor will be the featured alumni for the game against the Rams. Fans will get the opportunity to meet them both.

Is it too late to sign them to one-day contracts and let them play against the Rams? The Packers happen to need help at cornerback and guard.

Jaire Alexander is dealing with a back injury, the Packers just traded starter Rasul Douglas, and Eric Stokes is on injured reserve. They need a player like Williams. It's a similar story at guard. The entire Packers' offensive line has fallen short of expectations.

Unfortunately, Williams and Taylor can't help the team on the field this week, but it will be great to see them back at Lambeau Field.

The two played a combined 238 regular-season games for the Packers. Williams made several game-changing plays in Green Bay's Super Bowl run in 2010.

It's great that they are returning to Lambeau Field for this game. Last week, the Packers hosted running back Eddie Lacy and safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, who both enjoyed a number of incredible moments during their time in Green Bay.
