If we go back to 1970 when the AFL and NFL merged into one league, it's interesting to note that the Packers were not a very successful franchise in the 70s and 80s.
During the 1970s, the Packers were 57-82-5, which ranked 21st among the NFL teams. In the 1980s, Green Bay was 65-84-3, which ranked 22nd of the 28 NFL teams.
In the 1990s, however, the Packers started their climb among the better NFL teams. In the 90s, they were 93-67, which placed them ninth among 31 teams.
The decade of the 2000s saw the Packers go 95-65, which ranked fifth among the 32 NFL teams and second among NFC teams. In the 2010s, Green Bay was 102-56-2, third among the 32 NFL teams and first among NFC teams.
In the three years since 2020, the Pack is 34-16, which ranks third among all NFL teams and is number one in the NFC.
Even though the Packers had losing records in both the 1970s and 1980s, the team since 1990 is 322-204-2 (.612). Since the 1970 merger, Green Bay has a winning percentage of .547, which ranks ninth.
The Steelers have the best winning percentage since 1970 at .613, followed by Dallas (.585), New England (.574), Miami (.570), Minnesota (.564), Denver (.562), Baltimore (.561), San Francisco (.552), Green Bay (.547), and Kansas City (.530).
The team with the worst winning percentage in the NFL since 1970? The Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 299-442-1 (.404).
