The Green Bay Packers have made an up-and-down start to the regular season, which is exactly what many expected, given the team's talent but lack of experience.

At times, they have looked great. The Packers destroyed the Chicago Bears and outplayed the Atlanta Falcons for the opening three quarters. They outscored the New Orleans Saints 18-0 in the fourth quarter to win.

But the bad has been really bad. Getting outscored 13-0 in the fourth quarter against Atlanta, three scoreless quarters against New Orleans, and finally, a 27-3 deficit at halftime versus the Detroit Lions.

Four weeks are done, and the Packers are 2-2. It's about right. And it also means they would secure the 11th overall selection in the 2024 NFL Draft if the season ended today.

NFL Draft order if season ended today: Packers just outside top 10

  1. Chicago Bears (0-4)
  2. Chicago Bears - from Carolina Panthers (0-4)
  3. Las Vegas Raiders (1-3)
  4. Denver Broncos (1-3)
  5. Minnesota Vikings (1-3)
  6. New York Jets (1-3)
  7. New England Patriots (1-3)
  8. Cincinnati Bengals (1-3)
  9. Arizona Cardinals (1-3)
  10. New York Giants (1-3)
  11. Green Bay Packers (2-2)

  29. Baltimore Ravens (3-1)
  30. San Francisco 49ers (4-0)
  31. Kansas City Chiefs (3-1)
  32. Philadelphia Eagles (4-0)

Could the Chicago Bears pick first and second in the 2024 NFL Draft? It would be fun to see how they find a new way to mess it up. The Minnesota Vikings would also pick inside the top five as things stand.

If the season ended today, the Packers would land another premium pick in the first round. They have picked inside the top 15 twice in the past five years, drafting edge rushers Rashan Gary and Lukas Van Ness.

There's a long way to go before this season's story ends, but the current draft order gives us a picture of how the Packers have started.
