2. Shemar Jean-Charles

Shemar Jean-Charles barely played last year, and he could have fallen further down the depth chart this offseason.

Jean-Charles played only three defensive snaps last season. He provides cover in the slot but there could be limited opportunities again this year.

Keisean Nixon is projected to start in the slot this season. It's unclear how the Packers will get Eric Stokes back into the lineup when he returns from injury. Jaire Alexander's ability to play in the slot provides some flexibility.

Paul Bretl of Dairyland Express noted that rookie Carrington Valentine was getting snaps ahead of Jean-Charles during minicamp last month. Valentine stood out during OTAs, earning high praise from head coach Matt LaFleur and the Packers reporters in attendance.

Where does Jean-Charles fit into the 53-man roster? The Packers have Alexander, Rasul Douglas, and Nixon in starting positions. Valentine has a great chance of making the roster after an impressive offseason. Corey Ballentine made an impact on special teams last year.

That's five cornerbacks already, not including Eric Stokes, who begins training camp on the PUP list. However, Bill Huber of Sports Illustrated reports that Stokes could return in a "couple weeks" if "all goes well."

That increases his chances of making the 53-man roster instead of beginning the regular season on the PUP list.

There might not be room on the roster for Jean-Charles with Alexander, Douglas, Nixon, Stokes, Valentine, and Ballentine ahead of him.
