Here we go. Week 1 is finally here. The Green Bay Packers kick off the Jordan Love era with a fascinating matchup against the Chicago Bears this weekend.

The Packers have a tremendous opportunity to prove that they are still contenders in this division, even without Aaron Rodgers, while deflating the Bears' hopes of taking over the NFC North. It makes for a must-see game.

Green Bay enters a season of transition with a new quarterback, a new-look receiving corps, and one of the youngest rosters in the league. But how far can Matt LaFleur's team go this fall? With the season opener almost here, it's time to predict every game on the Packers' schedule.

Week 1: Packers at Bears

Aaron Rodgers owned the Bears, especially at Soldier Field. We're about to find out whether Rodgers has handed the reins to Jordan Love. How crushing would it be for Bears fans to watch Love stroll into Soldier Field and hand their team yet another defeat?

Green Bay's run defense must show significant improvements to stop last season's leading rushing attack.

The Bears have overhauled their roster, but they still have serious question marks on both sides of the ball. Can Justin Fields -- now surrounded by a talented supporting cast -- take the next step?

Where the Packers can win is in the key matchups. Green Bay's offensive line can shut down an improved but still uncertain Chicago pass rush. The Packers' cornerbacks will give the Bears' new receiving corps all it can handle.

All this leads to a close victory for the Packers at Soldier Field, the perfect start to the Love era.

Prediction: Green Bay 27, Chicago 21 (1-0)
