1 realistic free agent target at every position of need for the Packers
Cornerback: Kendall Fuller
Cornerback should be high on the offseason priority list for the Packers. Jaire Alexander isn't going anywhere, but he missed a lot of time due to injury in 2023. Carrington Valentine had a solid rookie season, but the Packers can't expect Eric Stokes to play the entire year. He featured in only three games this past season.
Slot corner is also a concern. Keisean Nixon lacked consistency in the role, and he is a free agent this offseason.
Free agent Kendall Fuller can fix either issue for the Packers. He is an experienced starting corner who can play outside or in the slot.
Fuller had double-digit pass defenses three years in a row between 2020 and 2022, a total of 40. He also had eight interceptions and two pick-sixes during that time. Fuller had excellent numbers again in 2023, breaking up nine passes and intercepting two.
Gutekunst loves to double down at positions of need. Signing Fuller and drafting a cornerback in the early rounds could transform the secondary, turning it from an area of concern into a strength. Gutekunst believes the Packers can win the Super Bowl next season, but they must upgrade the cornerback depth to have a chance. Fuller would be a great signing.
