The Green Bay Packers are keeping us guessing about Jordan Love's status for their Week 3 game against the Tennessee Titans. More importantly, they are making the Titans wait.

Tennessee doesn't know whether it's playing against Green Bay's $220 million quarterback or facing Malik Willis in a revenge game. While the Packers have listed Love as questionable on their final injury report, they reportedly already know his status.

According to The Athletic's Dianna Russini, the Packers made a decision on Friday but want to keep the Titans in the dark. Despite Matt LaFleur saying they will wait until kickoff to make a decision, it sounds like that's nothing but gamesmanship.

But the update could actually give us a clue about his status.

Why latest Jordan Love update is potentially good news for Packers in Week 3

A week ago, the Packers made a decision on Saturday, downgrading Love's status from questionable to doubtful. They also promoted Sean Clifford from the practice squad, effectively confirming that Willis would start in Week 2 against the Indianapolis Colts.

Josh Jacobs believed Love was going to play last week, indicating that he was close.

Fast forward one week. Love has logged three straight days of practice, appeared to move comfortably, and the Packers already know his status? That seems pretty optimistic if you ask me.

Of course, that's pure speculation. We have no idea whether Love will actually start in Week 3, but if the Packers have already made their decision, it could be good news.

LaFleur's wording was also notable. In previous press conferences, he confirmed that Love hadn't been medically cleared. On Friday, he gave a different answer: "We're working through that."

It's not a yes, but it's also not a no, and LaFleur has previously been upfront by saying Love hadn't been cleared.

Until we get official word, all we can do is speculate and guess. The Packers are doing a good job of keeping their plans secret, but Russini's report that they have already made a decision is a potentially promising update.
