Jaire Alexander

Jaire Alexander is in the second season of a four-year, $84 million contract. He hasn't played like it.

Alexander has featured in only six games this season, making 25 tackles, four pass defenses, and no interceptions. According to Pro Football Reference, Alexander has given up completions on 71 percent of passes in his coverage, a passer rating of 120.6, and has a missed tackle percentage of 16.7. They are all career-worsts.

Alexander gave up two touchdowns in 16 games last year. He has allowed two in only six games in 2023.

It's not all Alexander's fault. He battled back and shoulder injuries earlier in the year, forcing him out of the lineup for multiple games and potentially limiting him when he was out there. But landing a one-game suspension from the Packers ahead of a must-win game against the Minnesota Vikings is unacceptable.

Hopefully, the suspension was a wake-up call for Alexander ahead of the Packers' win-and-in game against the Chicago Bears. Green Bay needs its All-Pro cornerback to be at his best to have a shot of making a playoff run.

The Packers handed Alexander a massive contract to be a game-changer on defense. He has been the opposite this season.
