The Green Bay Packers are expecting big things from second-year wide receiver Romeo Doubs, but they are not the only ones.

David Kenyon of Bleacher Report named Doubs as one of his seven wide receivers in the best position to have a breakout season in 2023.

Kenyon specifically mentioned Doubs as the front-runner over Christian Watson and Jayden Reed as his breakout candidate from Green Bay.

Kenyon wrote: "But as Green Bay transitions from Aaron Rodgers to the Jordan Love era, the receiving corps is also changing. Allen Lazard, who paced the team in yards and receptions last year, also headed to the New York Jets. Randall Cobb followed Rodgers to the Jets, too."

This was followed up with Kenyon making a point that the Packers did not add a veteran to their group of receivers.

Doubs finished his rookie season with 42 receptions for 425 yards and three touchdowns. The then-22-year-old receiver had his best game during Green Bay's 14-12 win over Tampa Bay in Week 3. Doubs hauled in all eight passes thrown his way for 73 yards and a touchdown.

The former Nevada Wolf Pack wideout also had noteworthy performances in Week 8, as he caught four passes for 62 yards and a score in addition to his five catches for 55 yards in Week 14.

It is also worth taking note that 20 of Doubs' 42 catches went for first downs. While not as appealing as touchdowns, being able to move the chains nearly half the time a catch is made is an outcome that should not be understated. The Packers are going to need receivers who are consistent in their ability to get first downs if the start of the Jordan Love era is going to be a success.

A breakout year on top of being a go-to first-down option for Love would definitely be considered a successful second season in Green Bay for Doubs.
