This is a surprise. Corey Ballentine had played a key role on special teams this summer, but the Packers are moving on.

The Packers are waiving linebacker Marvin Pierre and wide receiver Dre Miller, per Bill Huber of Sports Illustrated.
- CBs William Hooper and Tyrell Ford
- LS Broughton Hatcher
- WR Duece Watts
- OT Kadeem Telfort

- S Innis Gaines
A bit of a surprise. Innis Gaines spent a lot of time at slot corner this summer and played well. It seemed he was close to making the 53.
- CB Shemar Jean-Charles
Shemar Jean-Charles was competing for the backup job at slot corner while also providing value on special teams. The Packers have decided to move on, which means seventh-round draft choice Carrington Valentine is likely to make the 53.
- CB Kiondre Thomas
- OL Jean Delance
- RB Nate McCrary
- LB Jimmy Philips
- C Cole Schneider
- DL Jason Lewan
As expected, the Packers are releasing defensive lineman Jason Lewan.
- WR Cody Chrest
The Packers are one step closer to finalizing their wide receiver room.
- TE Austin Allen
Even after Tyler Davis' season-ending injury, Austin Allen won't make the Packers' 53-man roster.
- RB Lew Nichols III
According to Bill Huber of Sports Illustrated, the Packers will place rookie running back Lew Nichols III on injured reserve and then release him with an injury settlement.
- LS Matt Orzech
Huber also reported that the Packers will release long snapper Matt Orzech. However, they plan to re-sign him on Wednesday. Releasing him now creates a roster spot for the time being.
- P Pat O'Donnell
The Packers announced on Monday that they have surprisingly released punter Pat O'Donnell. They are going for the inexperienced Daniel Whelan, who performed well throughout the summer. Green Bay continues to move into a new era.
