Edge rusher (6)

Rashan Gary, Preston Smith, Lukas Van Ness, Justin Hollins, Kingsley Enagbare, Brenton Cox Jr.

The Packers activated Rashan Gary from the PUP list, which is great news for the defense.

Justin Hollins will have an important role to play. Not only is he a roster lock, but Hollins has also earned first-team reps this summer. He is one of the Packers' top-four edge rushers.

Will Green Bay keep undrafted rookie Brenton Cox? He played well against the Bengals and has a lot of potential. If he can continue to make an impact in the preseason, the Packers may have no choice but to keep him on the 53-man roster.

Inside linebacker (5)

De'Vondre Campbell, Quay Walker, Isaiah McDuffie, Eric Wilson, Tariq Carpenter

We haven't heard much about the inside linebackers this summer, but that's not a bad thing. Once a major weakness for the Packers, linebacker is now one of the most settled positions on the roster.

The only real question is whether there is room for second-year Tariq Carpenter, who made a position switch from safety.

De'Vondre Campbell and Quay Walker will play the majority of the defensive snaps. Eric Wilson had an excellent season on special teams in 2023, and Carpenter also became a solid contributor on fourth down.
