1. Leonard Fournette, Free Agent

Leonard Fournette is the best free-agent running back still available, and he would instantly upgrade the Packers' rushing attack.

Fournette didn't have a great 2022 season for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but he still put up 1,191 total yards with six touchdowns. He is a powerful runner and offers plenty as a pass-catcher. Christian McCaffrey and Austin Ekeler were the only running backs to put up more receiving yards than Fournette's 523 last season.

Fournette rushed for 812 yards and eight touchdowns at 4.5 yards per carry only two years ago. He caught 69 passes for 454 yards and two touchdowns.

The Packers wouldn't need Fournette to handle a heavy workload, but he can wear down defenses and ease the pressure on Jordan Love and Aaron Jones. He would give the Packers what they expected from AJ Dillon this season.

Fournette has spent six seasons in the NFL but is only 28. He would be an excellent RB2 behind Jones until the end of the year.

The Packers need more from their ground game for this offense to find consistency. Any hopes of a Jonathan Taylor trade might be gone, but Green Bay can upgrade its running back room by signing Fournette to a one-year deal.
