The play of the inside linebackers will be particularly important if the Packers move to a 4-3 system. Although they will spend most of their time in nickel, there will be times when three middle linebackers are on the field together.

Hafley spent time on Robert Salah's defensive staff in San Francisco, and we could see some similarities in his system. Great play from the linebackers in the middle of the field will make a massive difference.

De'Vondre Campbell's time in Green Bay could be over. He missed six games due to injury and struggled in coverage this season. By moving on, the Packers would save around $2.6 million in cap space.

Quay Walker has Pro Bowl potential and will be a key starter in Hafley's defense. Interestingly, Hafley coached Isaiah McDuffie at Boston College. He has the chance to compete for a starting job this season.

Green Bay could also prioritize adding another quality inside linebacker in the draft. It will be an important part of Hafley's defense, and you only have to look at the 49ers' success this season to understand the impact great linebackers can make in the middle of the field. However, Campbell may not be part of Green Bay's plans moving forward. Time will tell.
