Had the Green Bay Packers not thrown away a two-score lead in the fourth quarter last week, they would have entered their home opener undefeated.

Still, the Packers can take plenty of positives from their first two games and aim to start strong at Lambeau Field with a matchup against the New Orleans Saints. This is arguably Green Bay's toughest challenge of the season yet.

The Packers have won their previous 10 home openers, but this is their first with Jordan Love.

Packers vs. Saints Week 3 injuries

  • Packers rule out G Elgton Jenkins and S Zayne Anderson; five questionable
  • Saints rule out RB Jamaal Williams; CB Paulson Adebo questionable

Both teams are dealing with several injuries this week.

The Packers have ruled out starting right guard Elgton Jenkins, who could miss several games due to a knee injury.

Green Bay has listed five players as questionable for Week 3: Wide receiver Christian Watson and running back Aaron Jones (both hamstring), left tackle David Bakhtiari (knee), edge rusher Lukas Van Ness (elbow), and cornerback Jaire Alexander (back).

New Orleans won't have former Packers running back Jamaal Williams available due to a hamstring issue. Tight end Foster Moreau (ankle) is doubtful. Cornerback Paulson Adebo (hamstring) and safety Ugo Amadi (knee) are questionable.

Packers vs. Saints matchup history

The Packers lead the all-time series versus the Saints 17-10.

Green Bay has only won once in its past four games against New Orleans, although three of those games were on the road. The loss at Lambeau came in 2017 while Aaron Rodgers was out with a broken collarbone.

The Packers have a fantastic home record against the Saints, going 10-3 at Lambeau Field.
