Packers schedule 2023: Game-by-game predictions for upcoming season
Week 11: Green Bay vs. LA Chargers
Few teams find more creative ways to lose than the Chargers. Take last season's wild-card round as an example. They led 27-0 on the road against the Jacksonville Jaguars. It's almost impossible to throw that away. Yet, the Chargers did, eventually losing 31-30.
Justin Herbert and the Chargers' offense makes a fast start in this game at Lambeau Field, but Joe Barry's defense steps up in the second half, forces a couple of turnovers, and Jordan Love guides his team to a comeback victory over the Chargers in one of the games of the season. A huge win for Green Bay.
Prediction: Green Bay 28, Los Angeles 27 (5-5)
Week 12: Green Bay at Detroit (Thanksgiving)
The Packers just don't like Ford Field. Since the 2013 season, Green Bay has only won four games there, one of which required a last-second Aaron Rodgers Hail Mary. The Packers have also won tense one-score games against some bad Lions teams during the Matt LaFleur era. With a 4-6 record in Detroit on its past 10 visits, things don't look great for Green Bay.
That's especially true against an improved Lions team. Detroit went 8-2 down the stretch last season and now looks to be the best team in the NFC North. It could be another long day for the Packers at Ford Field. Not a particularly happy Thanksgiving for Matt LaFleur.
