Packers schedule leaks 2023: NFL insider just tweeted out full schedule
Forget about the NFL's official announcement, it appears the Green Bay Packers' 2023 schedule has already been released.
Matt Schneidman of The Athletic just dropped the entire Packers schedule on Twitter. While none of these games have yet been confirmed, it's coming from a trusted reporter, so there's good reason to believe this is accurate.
Jordan Love would begin his career as the Packers starter with two straight road games, one against the division-rival Chicago Bears, followed by a matchup with the Atlanta Falcons.
Ahead of their Week 6 bye, the Packers would get consecutive primetime games, the first against the Detroit Lions at Lambeau Field on Thursday Night Football, then a road game versus the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday Night Football.
NFL rumors: Five primetime games on Packers schedule 2023?
Here is the leaked Packers schedule, according to Schneidman:
- Week 1: at Chicago Bears
- Week 2: at Atlanta Falcons
- Week 3: vs. New Orleans Saints
- Week 4: vs. Detroit Lions (Thursday Night Football)
- Week 5: at Las Vegas Raiders (Monday Night Football)
- Week 6: BYE
- Week 7: at Denver Broncos
- Week 8: vs. Minnesota Vikings
- Week 9: vs. Los Angeles Rams
- Week 10: at Pittsburgh Steelers
- Week 11: vs. Los Angeles Chargers
- Week 12: at Detroit Lions (Thanksgiving)
- Week 13: vs. Kansas City Chiefs (Sunday Night Football)
- Week 14: at New York Giants (Monday Night Football)
- Week 15: vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- Week 16: at Carolina Panthers
- Week 17: at Minnesota Vikings (Sunday Night Football)
- Week 18: vs. Chicago Bears
Green Bay could be set for five primetime games this season. Along with the Lions and Raiders games before the bye, the Packers would also take on the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football, the New York Giants on Monday Night Football, and the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday Night Football.
They would also meet the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving Day at Ford Field.
Playing in five primetime games shows the Packers are still a draw on national television, even without Aaron Rodgers. Perhaps this is due to the team's huge fanbase, or maybe the schedule makers have confidence in this team being competitive.
In other good news, the Packers could close out 2023 by beating the Minnesota Vikings. According to Schneidman, Green Bay will visit U.S. Bank Stadium in a primetime game on New Year's Eve. Ending 2023 by handing the Vikings a loss would be a perfect way to celebrate.
Green Bay's three preseason games would be at the Cincinnati Bengals, followed by two home games with the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks.
