The Green Bay Packers are reportedly playing on Thanksgiving again this season.

Jordan Love enjoyed a breakout performance in the first Thanksgiving Day game last year, throwing for 268 yards and three touchdowns in a statement victory over the Detroit Lions. It sparked an MVP-level run for Love to end the season.

The Packers are reportedly heading back to Thanksgiving football and will play back-to-back Thursday night games.

Packers schedule 2024: Back-to-back Thursday games, including Thanksgiving

According to The Athletic's Matt Schneidman, the Packers will host the Miami Dolphins in the evening game on Thanksgiving.

Green Bay will then play again the following Thursday night. Per Marques Eversoll of WDUZ, the Packers will visit the Lions on Thursday Night Football in Week 14, seven days after Thanksgiving.

The NFL has previously used Thanksgiving teams to create back-to-back Thursday games. As the Packers and Lions will both play on Thanksgiving, neither gets a competitive advantage for the following week's game, as they will each have seven days to prepare.

It's already looking like the Packers will be a popular primetime pick. That's consecutive games under the lights, and we already know Green Bay will head to Brazil for the season opener. It won't be surprising if the Packers end up with six primetime games, including the international trip.

A Thanksgiving matchup against the Dolphins will be must-see. Green Bay won in Miami on Christmas Day a couple of seasons ago. It seems the league likes saving this matchup for holidays. This time, it will be Jordan Love and not Aaron Rodgers leading the Packers' offense.

Consecutive games against the Dolphins and Lions is a tough run, but to become serious contenders, the Packers need to rise to the challenge of these big primetime contests.
