7 winners (and 2 losers) for Packers in Week 11 win over Chargers
Winner: Jayden Reed
Rookie receiver Jayden Reed is a rising star. He put in another outstanding performance in Week 11. Reed caught four passes for 46 yards and ran three times for another 46 yards and a touchdown. He can't stop making plays as a receiver, and Reed even successfully blocked star pass rusher Khalil Mack.
"He is a dog. He's a war daddy," said head coach Matt LaFleur after the game.
In his past two games, Reed has a total of 176 yards and two touchdowns. He is a star in the making.
Winner: Dontayvion Wicks
Reed isn't the Packers' only rookie receiver to impress. Fifth-round pick Dontayvion Wicks had another excellent performance on Sunday. No, he wasn't perfect. Wicks dropped a pass and appeared to run the wrong route on a play, getting called out by Jordan Love shortly after.
But his sky-high upside is easy to see. Wicks is so smooth as a route-runner and makes gaining separation look easy. The rookie led the Packers in receiving, catching three passes for 91 yards, including an impressive 35-yard catch-and-run.
How did Wicks fall to the fifth round of the draft? The Packers have found two building blocks at the wide receiver position with Reed and Wicks. Exciting times are ahead.
