3 winners (and 2 losers) for Packers in stunning Week 3 win vs. Saints
Winner: Romeo Doubs
Romeo Doubs is another player who hadn't yet played a full complement of snaps before this week. He was dealing with a hamstring injury to begin the season. Now fully healthy, we saw the kind of impact Doubs can make as one of Jordan Love's top targets.
Love looked Doubs' way 12 times. The second-year receiver caught five for 73 yards and the game-winning touchdown. He also made a special outstretched catch down the sideline.
His touchdown catch was another beautiful connection between the two. It had Aaron Rodgers-to-Davante Adams vibes. Love threw it perfectly to Doubs' back shoulder, and Doubs made an outstanding adjustment to bring in the catch. Simply great play all around.
It was his third touchdown catch of the season, matching his entire total from last year. It was clear all summer that Love trusted Doubs and had built excellent chemistry with him. That is now translating to production in the regular season. Get used to seeing Love look Doubs' way in the red zone.
Doubs is the Packers' most experienced receiver with Christian Watson out, which is hard to believe, considering he was a fourth-round pick in 2022. But he stepped up on Sunday, leading the Packers in receiving and making the crucial game-winning touchdown catch.
