Predicting every national TV game for Packers this season
Which Green Bay Packers games will be in primetime in 2023?
The NFL announced that the 2023 schedule will be released on Thursday, May 11. We already know the opponents the Green Bay Packers will face this season.
With Aaron Rodgers at quarterback, the Packers were a popular choice for primetime games. Will that change with Jordan Love taking over?
While the Packers may not have their superstar quarterback to draw interest for primetime games, they should still be a popular choice due to their huge fanbase. They are a historic franchise, and fans will tune in to watch them on national television.
Which games could the Packers play on primetime?
Packers schedule 2023: Predicting the primetime games
Packers vs. Bears, Sunday Night Football
Death, taxes, and the Packers hosting the Chicago Bears in primetime. They have played each other on national television for the past 17 seasons. Regardless of who is playing at quarterback, the NFL loves to put the oldest rivalry in football in primetime.
Packers vs. Chiefs, Sunday Night Football
It might not be Aaron Rodgers versus Patrick Mahomes, but it is two historic franchises going head-to-head. The Kansas City Chiefs will be in primetime a lot this season, and that could include Mahomes' first game at Lambeau Field.
Interestingly, it will be the second matchup between Jordan Love and Mahomes. Love's only career start came at Arrowhead Stadium in 2021.
Packers at Raiders, Monday Night Football
Two of the most iconic teams in NFL history. The Green Bay Packers. The Las Vegas Raiders.
The Packers and Raiders don't meet often, and it should be an interesting battle. It's also the first time Davante Adams will play against the Packers, providing an additional storyline to the contest.
There shouldn't be any concerns about viewership for this game. There will be plenty tuning in to see the Packers and Raiders play against each other. This feels perfect for Monday night.
Packers at Steelers, Thursday Night Football
Another historic rivalry here. This will be the first meeting between the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers since 2005 without either Aaron Rodgers or Ben Roethlisberger.
Maybe it's the start of another quarterback rivalry between Jordan Love and Kenny Pickett.
Interestingly, it will be the fourth different quarterback starting for the Packers in as many meetings with the Steelers. Matt Flynn, Brett Hundley, and Rodgers started the previous three.
It's the Packers. It's the Steelers. It belongs in primetime.
