Packers trade down with Chiefs for huge haul
The Kansas City Chiefs are defending Super Bowl champions and already have an outstanding roster. One area of need is wide receiver.
They possibly hinted at a first-round target. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Chiefs requested Boston College wide receiver Zay Flowers work out with Patrick Mahomes. Why would you want a draft prospect to work out with your MVP quarterback unless you had serious interest?
Boston College WR Zay Flowers - Mel Kiper’s No. 10 overall prospect - is in Texas today to workout with Chiefs’ QB Patrick Mahomes at the request of the team, per source. Flowers believed his pre-draft process was over after visiting the Titans on Tuesday…until the Chiefs called…

The problem for Kansas City is that it doesn't pick until No. 31. That is, of course, unless it is willing to trade up.
A move from No. 31 to No. 15 would be an expensive one. To be willing to trade down that far, the Packers could ask for the Chiefs' first and second, and more. One scenario would be to add a 2024 second-round selection. That way, Kansas City doesn't have to give away too many picks this year, and Green Bay still gets great value.
Adding Zay Flowers to the Chiefs' offense would be unfair to the rest of the league. Kansas City would be smart to consider selecting him. But to avoid missing out on the Boston College wide receiver, the Chiefs may need to make a big move. That could lead to a tremendous trade-down opportunity for the Packers.
