Jordan Love vs. Patrick Mahomes: The Rematch
Patrick Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers have never played against each other, despite their teams meeting three times, including this season. Rodgers' absence in 2021 handed Jordan Love his first NFL start.
It doesn't get much tougher than a trip to Arrowhead Stadium to take on Mahomes and the Chiefs. And the outcome was predictable, with the Packers scoring only seven points.
However, neither quarterback played particularly well. Love finished the game 19/34 for 190 yards, one touchdown, and one interception, with a 69.5 rating. Mahomes wasn't much better, going 20/37 for 166 yards and one touchdown, with a 74.8 rating.
Each player threw one touchdown pass. The difference was Kansas City's two field goals. Love also threw a costly interception with the ball at the Chiefs' 24-yard line.
But it's a different story this time. In 2021, Love was making his first career start, having only had about four days to prepare. Now, he is making his 12th start of the season and has been prepping for the Chiefs since Thanksgiving.
Love and Mahomes don't play against each other, but the quarterback who has the better game may lead their team to victory. If Love replicates last week's performance against the Lions, Green Bay will have a chance to cause an upset.
