All four NFC North teams have made significant moves at cornerback in recent years.

The Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings turned to free agency to find upgrades this offseason, while the Chicago Bears have drafted three cornerbacks in the second round over the past four years. Two of the Green Bay Packers' best cornerbacks were first-round picks.

Stopping the pass is priority number one for defenses, especially when facing elite quarterbacks in the postseason.

The Packers led our NFC North secondary rankings, but who are the top five cornerbacks in the division?

5. Emmanuel Moseley, Detroit Lions

Detroit needed to fix a pass defense that ranked third-worst in the NFL last season. One step in the right direction was to sign former San Francisco 49ers cornerback Emmanuel Moseley.

Moseley is a good starter when healthy but has missed a lot of time due to injury. Only once in five years has Moseley been active for every game in the regular season.

But he has played well when healthy. According to Pro Football Reference, Moseley hasn't given up a passing touchdown in 16 games across the past two seasons. He allowed a passer rating of 65.6 in 2021 and 66.9 last year.

If Moseley can stay healthy, he will provide a significant upgrade in the Lions' secondary.
