1. Jaire Alexander, Green Bay Packers

There are many talented cornerbacks in the NFC North, but none are on the level of Jaire Alexander. While the others on this list are quality starters, Alexander is a true shutdown corner.

Quarterbacks take a huge risk by throwing in the direction of Alexander. He regularly gets his hand to the football, with 58 pass defenses in 64 career games for the Packers.

He did it all in his first four seasons, shutting down some of the best wide receivers in the league. The only thing missing was turning opportunities into interceptions. Alexander improved that part of his game in 2023, intercepting a career-best five passes.

Completing passes in Alexander's coverage has never been easy. Just ask Justin Jefferson.

According to Pro Football Reference, quarterbacks throwing in Alexander's coverage last season completed 49 of 82 passes for 572 yards, two touchdowns, and five interceptions, with a passer rating of 63.7. Dominance from Alexander.

Alexander only played four games in 2021, but in his previous two fully-healthy seasons, he was voted to the Pro Bowl and named a second-team All-Pro.

The Packers' 2018 first-round pick is one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL entering the 2023 season.
