Top 5 NFC North tight ends in 2023 ranked
4. Luke Musgrave, Green Bay Packers
It's tough to place the rookie tight ends. We have to make projections. But there's no denying Luke Musgrave's potential to become a Pro Bowl tight end in the next few seasons.
With rare size, speed, and athleticism, Musgrave is already a mismatch and will cause problems for defenders in the middle of the field. He needs time to refine his game and must stay healthy, but Musgrave has the tools to become a star player.
Musgrave has a path to significant playing time early in his career. The Packers moved on from Robert Tonyan and Marcedes Lewis in free agency, giving Musgrave every opportunity to begin his rookie season as the Packers' top tight end.
While patience is required for Musgrave to reach his full potential, he can impact the offense right away. Musgrave was an excellent receiver during his time at Oregon State. He has the speed to run past defenders, and the athleticism and size to make tough catches.
If he can stay healthy, Musgrave is going to be a fun player to watch this season, and he could quickly become a consistent target for first-year starter Jordan Love. Musgrave may soon rise up the rankings if he makes a fast start.
