The NFC North has been home to many legendary wide receivers in recent years.

Davante Adams and Jordy Nelson dominated for the Green Bay Packers, making life miserable for NFC North cornerbacks. Calvin Johnson went to six Pro Bowls with the Detroit Lions. Even triple coverage wasn't enough to stop him.

Brandon Marshall put up 3,524 receiving yards and 31 touchdowns in only three seasons with the Chicago Bears. Adam Thielen went from undrafted to two-time Pro Bowler in an incredible nine-year career with the Minnesota Vikings.

They are all gone. Now, the division is home to some of the best young wide receivers in the league. Who are the top five in the NFC North entering the 2023 season?

5. Darnell Mooney, Chicago Bears

Underrated. That has been the story of Darnell Mooney's career so far, but it could all change in 2023.

Last season, Mooney played in a struggling offense that ran the ball more than any other team. It didn't help that quarterback Justin Fields had limited options in the passing game outside of Mooney.

He played in 12 games before his season was cut short due to injury. In that time, Mooney made 40 catches for 493 yards and two touchdowns. He hasn't had the benefit of playing in a great offense. That didn't stop him from putting up 1,055 yards and four touchdowns in 2021.

Chicago strengthened its receiving corps by adding DJ Moore, Chase Claypool, and Tyler Scott. No longer is Mooney the only consistent target in the passing game, and that should help him enjoy a bounce-back year in 2023.
