Updated Packers mock draft after Aaron Rodgers traded to Jets
The Green Bay Packers have traded Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets.
A deal we've waited over a month for has now finally arrived. The Packers have come out on top of the deal, upgrading their first-round pick and almost guaranteeing themselves a 2024 first.
How could the Packers make the most of their new first-round choice? It's time for an updated seven-round mock draft.
Round 1 (13): Peter Skoronski, OL, Northwestern
New York trading away the No. 13 pick could cost them dearly. It opens the door for Green Bay to land the best offensive lineman in the class.
Talk about helping out Jordan Love. Peter Skoronski would be the home run of all home runs for the Packers in the first round. There is some debate about whether he should play tackle or guard in the NFL, but it doesn't matter. Skoronski can do both at an extremely high level, and he enters the NFL with All-Pro upside.
According to Pro Football Focus, Skoronski allowed only six pressures on 474 pass-blocking snaps last season, playing at left tackle.
Whether Skoronski starts at tackle or guard for the Packers, he can be a long-term starter and would immediately make Green Bay's offensive line one of the best in the league.
