So, you're telling me there's a chance?

The Green Bay Packers probably don't have a big move left in them this offseason.

But, you know, if they did want to, the NFL's most obvious answer is staring them right in the face: Cincinnati Bengals pass-rushing star Trey Hendrickson. We've lamented the Packers' lack of interest in trading for Hendrickson plenty over the past four months, but it's not our fault that NFL Insiders keep hinting that he's available.

Training camp is obviously right around the corner, and while I'm not a big math guy, my guess is that Green Bay's front office has this year's salary cap in a nice, clean, tidy place – they certainly don't want to spend precious final vacation days in the office figuring out creative ways to add a big salary.

However, Trey Hendrickson could still be an option, should they want to make a move.

In his latest roundup of random NFL nuggets, Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated once again suggested that maybe, just maybe, Hendrickson might still find himself on a different team when the season starts.

It sure sounds like Trey Hendrickson and the Bengals aren't going to make it work

Here's what Breer said:

"The Trey Hendrickson situation remains, I'd say, unpredictable," writes Breer. "Further complicating things is that (Ja'Marr) Chase got a deal that broke previous Bengals precedents on guarantees, but (Tee) Higgins's contract really didn't, and that Myles Garrett pushed the top of the market at Hendrickson's position to $40 million per year, while Danielle Hunter and Maxx Crosby got the market for third-contract types into the mid-30s this offseason. So there's a lot of ground to cover there, even if there wasn't the history that’s present with this one."

That does not sound like a case of both sides just needing to sort out the necessary fine print before stuff gets signed. If there's still "a lot of ground to cover" in late July, things aren't going well.

Maybe this is the 10 billionth example of a player and team both bluffing a little bit too hard, only to sort things out right before Week 1 arrives, but then again, we are talking about the *Cincinnati Bengals* here, so I kinda doubt it.

It's all right there for you, Brian Gutekunst. Get that early flight home from Tahoe and become a Packers legend.
