The Jordan Love disrespect has officially reached absurd levels

Is anyone really surprised?

Jordan Love is enjoying his best season in the NFL, producing numbers in the elite tier of quarterbacks. Yet if you don't watch Green Bay Packers games, you may never know that. The national narrative about Love is that he's turnover-prone, makes mistakes at the worst times, and isn't on the level of other top quarterbacks.

It isn't all that surprising, then, that he is not among the NFC's three Pro Bowlers this season. Matthew Stafford, Dak Prescott, and Sam Darnold earned the spots.

Jordan Love disrespect continues as he's snubbed from the NFC Pro Bowl team

Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette summed it up.

As you may have guessed, Love is QB A in this scenario. The second stat line belongs to Sam Darnold, and the third Dak Prescott.

Love is also No. 2 in EPA/play and is Pro Football Focus' No. 3-ranked quarterback this season.

Darnold is having a fantastic season, but he has benefited from throwing to arguably the best receiver in football, Jaxon Smith-Njigba. While Darnold has thrown one more touchdown pass than Love, he also has over twice as many interceptions, including a brutal four-interception game.

Prescott has looked like an MVP at times this season. The Packers saw that firsthand in Week 4, but he has also turned the ball over more frequently than Love. Prescott also has arguably the best WR duo in football, with CeeDee Lamb, a four-time Pro Bowler, and George Pickens, who just made his first.

Love's delivered despite missing Tucker Kraft for half of the season and not getting Christian Watson back until Week 8.

Has Love been perfect? Of course not. But he's stepped up in the biggest moments, limited his mistakes, and led the Packers through a brutal schedule and to the cusp of another playoff berth.

Against division rivals this season, Love has completed 73 of 111 passes for 872 yards, nine touchdowns, and one interception for a 112.9 rating. He is 4-1 with one to play, although his one loss came at Soldier Field last week. He exited the game after suffering a concussion with the Packers leading 3-0.

Love completed 20 passes in a row to take down Aaron Rodgers in primetime. He threw four touchdown passes in Detroit on Thanksgiving, and then another three to defeat the No. 1-seeded Bears at Lambeau a week later. Love has eight games with a passer rating of 101.3 or higher.

And when the Packers start poorly, Love has proven he can lead them all the way back. He has four fourth-quarter comebacks and four game-winning drives this season, ranking No. 4 in the NFL.

Love also led what should've been a game-winning drive in Week 3 in Cleveland, only for the field goal to get blocked.

His 72.9 QBR (a different stat than passer rating) ranks third in the NFL, behind Drake Maye (73.4) and Prescott (73.1).

The narrative that he's turnover-prone doesn't hold up. In his past 22 regular-season games, Love has thrown 32 touchdown passes and six interceptions. Of course, we can't include the production from the final seven games of last year in this season's Pro Bowl voting, but this stat just highlights the myth that Love always throws picks.

This season, he's at 24 touchdowns to six interceptions. Whichever way you look at it, Love should be a Pro Bowl quarterback.
