Green Bay Packers training camp doesn't start for another three weeks, but fantasy football season is already underway.
Now is the perfect time to start drafting for the upcoming season, whether you are part of an annual redraft league or joining a dynasty startup. In either case, value is the name of the game, and the Green Bay receivers represent some of the best opportunities to steal high-scoring players in later rounds.
With the departures of Romeo Doubs to the New England Patriots and Dontayvion Wicks to the Philadelphia Eagles, the Packers are entering the 2026 season with a solidified top-three at the receiver position. Both Christian Watson and Jayden Reed received extensions this offseason, boosting their long-term value in dynasty leagues, but Matthew Golden also deserves some attention, entering his second-year with significantly less competition for targets.
Now is the time to buy low on Packers WRs in fantasy football
Watson missed the start of the 2025 season, tanking his fantasy usage, but he seems to be on track to make the most of 2026. Most fantasy sites have him ranked between WR29 and WR35, slotting him into a secondary receiver/FLEX spot role. If injuries hadn't defined his last few years, he'd be getting drafted much higher than similarly ranked players like Terry McLaurin and Alec Pierce.
Reed suffered from missed time last season as well, breaking his collarbone in Week 2. Currently ranked as the WR47, he's been placed in the same tier as Khalil Shakir and Wan'Dale Robinson. Reed isn't the flashiest pick, but he is a safe one for those looking for a low-end FLEX player, attracting four or more targets in four of his five games last season.
The biggest steal of your draft could end up being Golden, especially in Dynasty formats. Sitting at WR53 on FantasyPros, Golden has an extremely low asking price given his potential to become a major provider for your team in the coming years. The 2025 first-round pick is entering his second year in an exciting offense with one of the best quarterbacks in the league. Turning 23 in a few weeks, Golden is being drafted among the likes of Chris Godwin and Courtland Sutton, players whose ceilings will only fall in the coming seasons.
In Superflex leagues, which allow managers to start an additional quarterback, the draft position of Green Bay's receivers drops even further. All three players bring different benefits to your fantasy lineup: the explosive playmaking of Watson, the reliability of Reed, and the youth of Golden, who may be poised for a sophomore breakout. Regardless of what type of league you'll be joining this year, make sure you invest in a piece of the Packers receiver corps.
