What a win by the Green Bay Packers! It was starting to feel like the Packers were going to choke away another lead and allow the Chicago Bears to take control of the NFC and NFC North, but not so fast. Despite the Bears continuing to scratch and claw their way back into this one, the Packers found a way to win the game and move into first place.
One crucial moment of the game came with roughly five minutes remaining in regulation. It was 3rd-and-1 from the Bears' 28-yard line, Jacobs took the ball, and it looked as though he was about to be swallowed up for a loss. The running back ended up grinding his way past the Bears' defenders for a first down and then some, setting up 1st-and-goal from the Bears' 7-yard line instead.
Tom Brady, who was on the call for FOX, couldn't believe what he witnessed on that Jacobs run. He was completely shocked that Jacobs went from nearly getting taken down for a loss to then churning out a 21-yard run.
"How did he do that?! Trying to outrace him to the corner but there's four Bears there. There's Sweat. Gardner-Johnson. And they all come in thinking the other guy's got him and Jacobs just splits it … What a run by Jacobs."

Brady reacted the same way all Packers fans did in that moment. Again, it truly looked as though Jacobs was going to lose yardage and that the Packers would have to settle for a field goal and a three-point lead. That would've opened the door for the Bears to tie, or even win the game on their final drive.
What happened instead was that Jacobs set the good guys up to score four plays later and force the Bears into a much different strategy on their final possession.
This win was a huge one for the Packers because they're now leading the division and in touching distance of the top seed. They'll have another game against the Bears in a couple of weeks, but everything they want is right in front of them, and Jacobs' run helped set that up.
