Anyone watching the Green Bay Packers take on the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football might wish they had chosen something else to do with their night. Jordan Love and the Packers' offense failed to score a single point in the first half and have looked pretty lifeless in front of their home crowd.

Troy Aikman, who was on the call for ESPN, said something that Packers fans couldn't help but nod in agreement with. Aikman said the following during a Packers' 3rd-and-9 attempt from the Eagles' 41-yard line that ended with an incomplete pass to Romeo Doubs.

"I think this pass rush is really unsettling Jordan Love. And (Romeo) Doubs, as he comes off the ball, he runs a nice route. He's really good at it. He goes to the middle and there's nobody in the middle of the field. If Love is just able to lay that ball. Zack Baun is the one who's the middle linebacker, but you just lay it over him, you’ve got a lot of area to put the football. Jordan just has not been able to get comfortable."

Aikman's job is to tell us what he's seeing and... well, yeah, this is certainly what everyone is seeing. In Love's defense, the Packers' offensive failures during this game aren't all on him. The offensive line has been doing him little to no favors, and with Elgton Jenkins leaving the game and forcing Sean Rhyan in at center, it made things even worse.

With the lack of protection, it forces Love to get the ball out a lot quicker, and that'll lead to him not always making the best decision when throwing.

Other times, it's simply led to Love getting hurried and then being brought down for a sack. It's frustrating, but it's not like Packers fans haven't seen this song and dance before, with Love getting sacked 11 times in eight games and being under constant duress all season long.

The NFL makes it incredibly easy to score and put up points, so the fact that the Packers haven't been able to get on the scoreboard going into the fourth quarter is pitiful. The lack of protection has played a major role in that, and it's beyond annoying.
