Tua Tagovailoa has already set Dolphins up to fail against Packers
It's a shame that Packers-Dolphins is happening on such a short week, because the sound bites we're already getting from both sides would have definitely kept us entertained way longer.
In a fun way, their Thanksgiving night matchup – arguably the best game of the day – has almost identical stakes for both teams: they each need this win badly if they want to keep pace with the top teams in their division, both of which are starting to run away with the division.
And, if you can believe it, the conditions in Green Bay on Thursday night are going to be seasonal – which is just a polite way of pointing out that it's going to be cold. Like, really cold. According to the internet (an always very-reputable source), the highs on Thursday in Green Bay are going to hover in the low to mid-30s. Of course, that doesn't mean a lot for the game considering kickoff is at 7:20pm local, meaning it's probably going to be 10-15 degrees colder by the time things are all said and done.

That's cold for Green Bay, but that's *really* cold for Miami. The Dolphins finish the season on a two-game road trip in New York City and Cleveland, so anything's possible, but Thursday night looks like it'll probably be the coldest game they play this year.
It's also notable because Tua Tagovailoa has earned himself a bit of a reputation for not being a good cold-weather player. Maybe it's not fair, but when he wins, you know, one single game in temperatures under 40, we can talk about that. For now, he's 0-7. It's something that's very clearly on his mind, as he showed while answering a question about the Packers during his press conference on Sunday afternoon.
Tua Tagovailoa's seems oddly confident about playing in cold weather against the Packers this week
"Yeah, I'm excited to kill narratives," Tagovailoa said after the Dolphins' Week 12 win over New England. "Let's go. Bring it on."
OK! Sure. Whatever you say, Tua.
If you're excited about playing in frigid temperatures, I'm excited too. It's nice to all be on the same page about this. Playing in frigid temperatures is a fun time that warm-weather teams notoriously never struggle with, so I can see why he's so stoked to be out there on Thursday night.
I'm also excited to kill narratives, but from the warmth of my 68 degree, climate-controlled living room.
