Tucker Kraft had developed into one of the best pass-catching tight ends in the league before an injury cut his 2025 season short.

Kraft was in the middle of a breakout campaign before tearing his ACL in Week 9. While that injury would be killer for many others, especially for players who rely on their ability to burst off the line of scrimmage like No. 85 does, the latest quotes from Packers offseason workouts show that Kraft isn't scared to prove he's still one of the best.

Kraft said that he believed he was the best tight end in the NFL last season before his injury brought that campaign to a close, and he is excited to show the doubters across the league that his skills have not waned after his injury. "Some people might not be the same (after an injury)," Kraft said to reporters, "but they don't speak for me."

Tucker Kraft's quotes on ACL recovery will get Packers fans hyped

If Kraft's stats in 2026 were extrapolated out to a 17-game season, he would have tallied 68 catches, 1,039 yards, and 13 touchdowns. Even with the tight end position as deep as it has been in years, those numbers would put Kraft in very rarified air across the rest of the NFL.

Considering that Kraft is just a few years removed from being the second tight end picked in the top 100 of the same NFL Draft class, his leapfrogging of Luke Musgrave and chemistry with Jordan Love has made him one of Green Bay's biggest developmental success stories.

The Packers may lean on Kraft as their top pass-catching option in 2026, even after extending Jayden Reed and Christian Watson. Reed is also working his way back to full health, Watson's volume has never been particularly high, and former first-round pick Matthew Golden is still developing. Kraft is an invaluable part of this offense.

Packers fans may have had to sit through a pretty tough offseason, losing starters while the rest of the division improved. Kraft turning back the clock and recapturing his old form would be a fun way to get the vibes back on the right track.
