Seattle had become a place of nightmares for the Green Bay Packers over the past decade, from the Fail Mary to the disastrous NFC title game loss. Jordan Love lifted the curse in his first attempt, leading the Packers to a dominant win over the Seahawks on Sunday Night Football.

The Packers already had a strong chance of reaching the postseason entering Week 15, and they took one giant step closer with this win.

The Detroit Lions' loss to the Buffalo Bills keeps the door for the NFC North title open (just about), but the Packers will likely need to enter the postseason as a wild-card team.

Here's where things stand after the big win on Sunday night.

According to The Athletic's projections, the Packers now have a greater-than-99-percent chance of reaching the playoffs. In other words, they're in. Not officially, but it would take a series of unlikely events for Green Bay to not make it.

Their chances of winning the division and taking the top seed are below one percent, but with a 10-4 record, the Packers already have more wins than last season and have (almost) clinched a playoff spot.

Updated NFC playoff standings after Sunday Night Football

  1. Detroit Lions (12-2)
  2. Philadelphia Eagles (12-2)
  3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (8-6)
  4. Los Angeles Rams (8-6)
  5. Minnesota Vikings (11-2)
  6. Green Bay Packers (10-4)
  7. Washington Commanders (9-5)

In the hunt:

  • Seattle Seahawks (8-6)
  • Arizona Cardinals (7-7)
  • Atlanta Falcons (6-7)
  • San Francisco 49ers (6-8)

Here's the key: Green Bay has a two-game cushion with three games to go, and it has the head-to-head tiebreaker over the nearest teams in the mix. We can root for a Las Vegas Raiders win over the Atlanta Falcons on Monday Night Football, but even an Atlanta win would only make it a three-win difference, which is unlikely to be overturned.

If the season ended today, Green Bay would visit the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the first round. The hopes of clinching the fifth seed are still alive, but the team will need some help from the Chicago Bears on Monday.

The Packers aren't officially in yet, but they are extremely close.
