Where the Packers stand in the 2025 NFL draft order heading into Week 14
By Luke Norris
Life is good for the Green Bay Packers heading into their highly anticipated rematch with the Detroit Lions on Thursday Night Football to kick off Week 14.
With a 30-17 victory over the Miami Dolphins at Lambeau Field on Thanksgiving night, the Packers have now won three in a row and have only lost once since September. That loss, however, came to the Lions in Week 9, as Detroit came into Lambeau and dominated, jumping out to a 24-3 lead before ultimately taking a 24-14 win.
Nevertheless, Green Bay has won seven of eight and enters Week 14 with one of the league's best records at 9-3. And while that's only good for third place in the NFC North behind the 11-1 Lions and the 10-2 Minnesota Vikings, the Packers are in great shape as it pertains to the overall NFL playoff picture and have all but locked up a spot at this point.
As such, there's not a big concern surrounding Green Bay regarding the 2025 NFL Draft order, but it's always entertaining to take an early look anyway.
Updated Packers 2025 NFL Draft order heading into Week 14
As it stands after all the results that played out in Week 13, the Packers sit in the No. 27 slot in the 2025 NFL Draft order, which is three spots lower than where they took Arizona offensive tackle Jordan Morgan this past April at No. 25 overall.
It needs to be noted, of course, that only the top 18 picks of the first round are locked in once the regular season comes to an end, with the 14 remaining spots being distributed based on what happens in the postseason.
Teams eliminated during the Wild Card Round receive picks 19-24. Teams eliminated during the Divisional Round get selections 25-28. The losers of the conference championship games receive picks 29 and 30. Each section's order is based on win-loss records from the regular season.
The loser of the Super Bowl gets pick 31, while the team to hoist the Lombardi Trophy receives No. 32. Easy enough, right?
So, if the Packers end up in the position they are now, it would mean they would have lost in the Divisional Round, just as they did this past January to the San Francisco 49ers. But Matt LaFleur & Co. are obviously hoping for much better results this season.
