With 76 days left until the start of the Green Bay Packers NFL season, our countdown to the big day continues. Sunday, Sept. 11, is the day when the Packers travel to Jacksonville to take on the Jaguars.

There have been some excellent players who have worn both numbers for the Packers. At #76, consider Chad CliftonAlphonso CarrekerMike McCoy and Mike Daniels

They were all solid contributors to a lot of Packers teams.

But today we have to go back to the 1960s for one of the best players to wear that number: Bob Skoronski.

Our last spotlight Thursday focused on #77 – a number that prompted our look at  Ron Kostelnik, another of the defensive linemen from the Lombardi years who wasn’t a superstar, but was a huge asset to the Packers teams of the 1960s that won so many championships.

Today we focus in on number 76.
